Doggie School

Tonight our puppy Hampton graduated from Thoughtful Paws Dog Training!  Six weeks of pure fun with other dogs and their owners.  Dawn our trainer, worked very, very,  hard to train the people!  The dogs are the smart ones!  There were many doggie personalities.  Puddin’ the Pug was a perfect learner.  Lady tried very hard to walk by herself and not tremble.  Josie the Basset Hound spent a lot of time in her favorite “sit-stay” position. It was on her back to get her tummy rubbed.  Soooo cute.

Dawn you have an awesome class because of your patience and love of animals.  We missed Diesel tonight, her HUGE Great Dane.  He stayed home to rest-up for his next dog show.

At the end of class,  Dawn presented each trainer with a certificate and some of our decorated sugar cookies.  We decorated “paw prints” and  personalized “dog bones” for the special event.  These cookies were for the peeps (trainers)! We worked hard! Congratulations!

Happy Birthday Jack!  We know you had a great day today at school sharing your decorated sugar cookies with your class and teachers.

Since Jack loves ALL sports and is an awesome athlete,  we were able to bake and decorate sugar cookies that he would enjoy on his special day.  Soccer balls, baseballs and basketballs. Oh My!

Happy Birthday Kelley!  You are six! We had fun decorating your sugar cookies for you and your friends.

When you turn six, you’re allowed to change your favorite color(s).  When we started planning for her party, her favorite colors were green and pink.  When it was “party time”, her favorite color was blue.  Thanks Mom for saying “decorate with any colors”.  Mom always knows best.

It is great to see some decorated sugar cookies in action! White wedding dresses and white wedding cakes, with a touch of pink, were alternated at each place setting.  Look closely and you will notice cookie tags on the decorated sugar cookies, and matching place cards. Liz designed these herself. Is she creative or what? Here are Liz’s comments from the wedding:

“I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the beautiful and delicious favors you made for my sister’s wedding. We had approx 27 women at the Bridal Luncheon and it was a huge success. The ladies LOVED the cookies!!”

Liz thanks for sharing your sister’s special day with us!

Congratulations to all of the kids who participated in the Columbia Kids Triathlon!  You should be soooo proud.  What an accomplishment.  Many thanks to all of the parents and volunteers for supporting this event.  A special thanks to Rebecca at Cycle Center for putting on such an awesome event. She puts her heart and soul into these events to keep kids active and healthy.  Way to go Rebecca!

Blue Flour was excited to be a sponsor of this event.  We were at the finish line giving out some of our mini classic chocolate chip cookies and mini sugar cookies for the kids.

I think they really needed the energy boost after swimming, biking and running.  WOW!
