Today was the first day we opened for retail! Yippee!
We had a fun day with all of our repeat and new customers.
As you know, we have always partnered with local stores to sell our cookies as well as through our website. We will continue to do everything as we have done in the past including all custom cookie orders.
Since moving into our new place at 7703 St. Andrews Road SuiteA/B five months ago, (and getting soooo many requests to open), we have decided the time was right to open to the public, one day a week. We are now open on Friday’s from 10am-4pm, otherwise by appointment. You can always call us at 803-407-3603 for special orders or questions.
On Friday’s we will always have our Chocolate Chip cookies and hand decorated sugar cookies. The other fresh baked items will change each week. (I am sure we will have some extra yummy desserts that continue week after week based upon their popularity.) Today we offered maple sugar cookie leaves, raspberry linzer cookies, macaroons, and pecan chocolate chip squares. School Begins

Let school begin!
The principal of H.E. Corley wanted to surprise her teachers and staff with a tray of special themed cookies to start the 2009-2010 year off right!
Since their mascot is a crocodile named “Champ”, we used him as a centerpiece in the midst of a variety of hand decorated sugar cookies, and our classic mini chocolate chip cookies. We decorated using the school colors of green and yellow, and each tray had a different school subject notebook too. Yes, we even included the “good-for-you” Banana Oat Chip cookies.
Tour de Cure
This is Bobby’s Biker’s!
A group of serious riders and recreational riders that come together to ride for the cure of Diabetes. I am one of those recreational riders that enjoys getting together with friends to ride for this event. As you can see, this is a HUGE group! This group was started by Gabe and Alphie (center of photo) and continues to grow every year. There were 270 riders for this event and 24 teams and have currently raised over $80,000 for the cure of diabetes.
Blue Flour offers a selection of reduced sugar, “good for you” cookies, and the all of the classics. Balance is the key. Stay active, stay healthy, and be involved with your community. Then there is always room for the celebration cookie!

Girls on the Run

We love girls on the Run!
As we have talked about before, we love our cookies, but we also love to stay active as well. This is an incredible program that teaches girls about self esteem, good eating habits, and staying healthy.
My girls joined the Girls on the Run team for their first season. With the help of their wonderful coaches, they were able to participate in their first 5K run, which was sponsored by New Balance. Now is that awesome or what??? Our team gave the coaches a BIG thanks, for their time and support, with love and hand decorated sugar cookies. We can’t wait until the Fall!
Pumpkin Run
This weekend was the Pumpkin Run at our local YMCA. There was a one mile Fun Run for the kids then a 5K for the serious runners. Don’t think there were not some serious kids out there too! They hung in there with their parents. Some actually beat the parents. It was pretty cool when they came across the finish line together as a team. Blue Flour was ready with mini chocolate chip cookies for the kids after the finish. Congratulations to everyone that participated, including my very own competitive kids!
Kids Triathlon
Congratulations to all of the kids who participated in the Columbia Kids Triathlon! You should be soooo proud. What an accomplishment. Many thanks to all of the parents and volunteers for supporting this event. A special thanks to Rebecca at Cycle Center for putting on such an awesome event. She puts her heart and soul into these events to keep kids active and healthy. Way to go Rebecca!
Blue Flour was excited to be a sponsor of this event. We were at the finish line giving out some of our mini classic chocolate chip cookies and mini sugar cookies for the kids.
I think they really needed the energy boost after swimming, biking and running. WOW!
