Flamingo’s
The incredible Zoofari event was this weekend at Riverbanks Zoo.
For the annual silent auction, Blue Flour donated a colorful display of hand decorated sugar cookie flamingos. Since Flamingo’s get their wonderful pink color from the food they eat, we thought we would decorate the flamingos using different shades of pink.
We know the event was a huge success!

Today was the first day we opened for retail! Yippee!
We had a fun day with all of our repeat and new customers.
As you know, we have always partnered with local stores to sell our cookies as well as through our website. We will continue to do everything as we have done in the past including all custom cookie orders.
Since moving into our new place at 7703 St. Andrews Road SuiteA/B five months ago, (and getting soooo many requests to open), we have decided the time was right to open to the public, one day a week. We are now open on Friday’s from 10am-4pm, otherwise by appointment. You can always call us at 803-407-3603 for special orders or questions.
On Friday’s we will always have our Chocolate Chip cookies and hand decorated sugar cookies. The other fresh baked items will change each week. (I am sure we will have some extra yummy desserts that continue week after week based upon their popularity.) Today we offered maple sugar cookie leaves, raspberry linzer cookies, macaroons, and pecan chocolate chip squares. You can sign up to receive the weekly menu at the sign-up box on the home page of www.blueflour.com.
Thank you to all of our wonderful customers for making this possible!
Beach Wedding
Tiffany is getting married this weekend at the Beach!
She chose a variety of beach themed hand decorated sugar cookies in fun bright colors to give to her guests as favors.
These were only a few of the cookies that she took with her for her special weekend. She also chose some sunglasses, fish, and palm trees. She was surprising her husband-to-be with favors for the guys. They were silver football cookie helmets, with the New England Patriots logo.
Who wouldn’t love a beach wedding? Best wishes to you both!
Lake, Love, and Friends
These cookies were created especially for Sadler’s Baptism.
Friends and family traveled from all over to come together and celebrate this day together. Since love, lake and friends were the theme, we used vivid colors such as lime green and royal blue. These colors brought a fun and whimsical look to the tray of miniature sugar cookie sailboats, fish, hearts and fluted rounds.
Thanks for letting Blue Flour be a part of this special day!
Music at the Zoo
Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden had one big music themed bash this weekend!
Each food station was themed to a different music genre. They had country western, classical, beach, jazz, r&b, rock and disco. The attendees were invited to dress in their favorite music genre.
We added to the dessert table with trays of mini chocolate chip cookies as well as hand decorated mini sugar cookies. We kept to the theme by using “funky” colors and by included personalized large music notes, instruments and small music notes on all of the trays.
Wow! How fun! I am sure the DJ was spinning tunes all night long!
